In this week's Groundhandling Class we thought we'd make some experiments on unevenness as suggested by Brent and Phill on Patreon.
We tried offset on the A's, on twist on the hips, not being perpendicular to the wind and even sticking some brake permanently on.
The results were a bit surprising by being a bit inconsistent but I thin that was mostly my fault as I kept compensating by mistake as I'm so used to bringing the wing up straight.

Tim Swait is a hang glider pilot member of our local freeflying club. He recently became the owner of Avian Hang Gliders, the UK's only remaining hang glider manufacturer, so when I bumped into him on the hill I had to ask him about it.
He's a great guy and has some cool plans for Avian. Quite interesting is also that they outfit their gliders in both prone and supine flight configurations.

I've knitted when I was a kid and my grandma all her life, so when I saw some cheap funky yarn at the store decided to give it a go.
It's was really fun, one single line and lots of loops, 2 knots and not cuts or trickery :)

What a day it was! Awesome to get to fly the BGD Lynx once last time before having to give it back.
The wind was strong, there was plenty of lift and... I messed up the camera settings! Sorry everyone. I really liked those little flights so wanted to make a video anyway as I enjoyed it so much and somewhat marked the end of a great experience with that wing.

Me and Gemma went to the Derbyshire Soaring Club annual repack to inspect and repack our reserve parachutes.
This is something that should be done every year and freeflight clubs in the UK with help from the BHPA make it easier to teach and assist pilots in repacking their own reserve parachutes.
It was a great experience again this year and last minute I thought I'd film it. Sorry for the sound as there's a lot of reverb in a big sports all like that.
