Since the founding of the NOVA Pilots Team sub-team in July 2020, three female and seven male pilots have been climbing and flying the highest and most beautiful mountains in the Alps under the name NOVA Climb & Fly Team (CFT). The focus is on the passion for para-mountaineering, i.e. the combination of paragliding with climbing and alpine touring.
NOVA staff members Luis Depping (R&D harnesses) and Paul Nagl (Service, Quality Assurance) are passionate mountaineers. When NOVA expanded its product range with two lightweight mountain gliders (the DOUBLESKIN https://www.nova.eu/en/gliders/doubleskin/ and the BANTAM https://www.nova.eu/en/gliders/bantam/), and motivated mountaineers actively approached NOVA, the idea of the Climb and Fly Team was born. That is now more than a year ago.
This video shows the weekend when the CFT members got to know each other a year ago at the Schüsselkarhütte (Leutasch, Austria).
The members are: Simon Heinrich, Manuel Ploner, Fabio Keck, Alexandra Lamprecht, Jessica Kratz, Carla Vivó Soler, Christof Happ, Luis Depping and Paul Nagl.

Bill Balo - Trải nghiệm bay Microlight ngắm cảnh Chiang Mai (How to fly with Microlight)

Microlight là một loại máy bay siêu nhẹ, có 1 hay 2 chỗ ngồi cố định. Máy bay có thể điều khiển thủ công bằng tay (microlight) và điều khiển bằng cần tự động (ultralight). Độ cao của Microlight có thể đạt tầm 10.000ft.

Trải nghiệm bay Microlight được xem là trải nghiệm bay có chi phí thấp nhất thế giới, mà ai cũng có thể bay được. So với chi phí đi khinh khí cầu thì giá cho mỗi người chỉ bằng 1/4, nhưng khinh khí cầu có thể chở 4-5 khách, còn Microlight chỉ chở được 1 khách. Đổi lại du ngoạn trên khinh khí cầu khoảng 1 tiếng, thì du ngoạn trên máy bay Microlight chỉ 15 phút mà thôi. Nhưng mà rất đáng đồng tiền nha.

We've moved to Portugal over a year ago and even though we've been to this beach dozens of times Gemma has never been able to fly it as it's very technical and small, especially with traffic.

So it was great to see that on this day, without warning and with perfect conditions she just tried it one again and it worked! She managed to work the lift in such a way to stay up for a long time!

Taking off and Landing are the two most crucial phases of aviation, and although we can do a lot of practice in pretend takeoffs, there is no practical way to train landings without flying.

So an intermediate step is to go up towed by a rope so that ppg students can practice what it feels like coming in for a landing as well as the timing and inputs of the landing flare.

In diesem Online-Vortrag spricht Théo de Blic über die wichtigsten Dinge, die man wissen sollte, wenn man mal seinen Rettungsschirm werfen muss. Vor allem erklärt er WARUM, WANN und WIE man ihn werfen soll. Außerdem berichtet er von seinen persönlichen Erfahrungen mit verschiedenen Rettungsschirmkonzepten und erklärt anhand von Videobeispielen, was passierte und wie er reagierte. Theo präsentiert auf Englisch, aber es ist einfach, ihn zu verstehen.
Théo de Blic ist dreimaliger Akro-Gleitschirm-Weltmeister (2015 Synchro, 2017, 2019) sowie dreimaliger Acro-Game-Champion. Der NOVA-Markenbotschafter wird 2021 unbekanntes Terrain betreten und an den Red Bull X-Alps 2021 teilnehmen.

The “NOVA Insights” are a series of lectures, discussions, workshops, etc. They take place online and are aimed at ALL paraglider pilots - no matter what brand of wing they fly. The Insights are no marketing yada yada, they are about sharing knowledge and experience, and above all about "making you want to fly". The NOVA Insights last about one hour each. It is explicitly desired that the audience join in and ask questions.
Die „NOVA Insights“ sind eine Serie von Vorträgen, Diskussionen, Workshops usw. Sie finden online statt und richten sich an ALLE Gleitschirmflieger – egal, welche Schirmmarke sie fliegen. Hier geht es nicht um Marketing, sondern um Wissens- und Erfahrungsvermittlung sowie vor allem um das „Lustaufsfliegenmachen“. Die NOVA Insights dauern jeweils ca. eine Stunde. Es ist explizit erwünscht, dass die Zuhörer mitmachen und Fragen stellen.

Making the jump from paper to cloth is not easy! From handling the sewing machine, to chosing the cloth, line, all the settings, the design, patterns and then bringing it all together... I'm glad we chose an easy project to start with :)

A lot of fun, some experimentation and quite a bit of learning. We mostly learnt that we don't know a lot of stuff! :D

Chrigel Maurer does it again! He is the first athlete to reach the goal in Zell am See at 6 pm on day 9. Therefore he wins the Red Bull X-Alps for the 7th time.
Of course, Chrigel is not a NOVA pilot. Though we were there to celebrate the winner. Hats off to this great performance!
