Oh boy...
I was only a 4 hour pilot and a lot of things came together to create an accident, as it is usually the case.
I'm sharing it as it might help others not make the same mistakes I did. I was very lucky to get away with it without a scratch but with a bruised ego, which probably was a very important first lesson!

Today was hard! It was way too windy for Plan A so I ended up having to scramble and do Plan B.
Went out to the Peak district as it was very windy and the clouds where going by fast! This meant that filming them was quite hard too because my tripod is very flimsy.
Really really need a decent tripod sturdy tripod.

Tổng hợp Những Chuyến Bay Dù Lượn thành công tại Putaleng Tam Đường, Lai Châu
Vừa qua, PTA đã có mặt tại Putaleng để thăm dự giải DÙ LƯỢN ĐƯỜNG TRƯỜNG PUTALENG. Đây là giải dù lượn đường trường cấp Quốc gia đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, đã quy tụ gần 100 phi tham dự, trong đó có 35 phi công dù lượn người nước ngoài đến từ 15 quốc gia vùng lãnh thổ trong khu vực Đông Nam Á và các quốc gia khác trên thế giới. Điểm cất cánh tại bản Sì Thâu Chải, xã Hồ Thầu, huyện Tam Đường và hạ cánh tại Sân vận động thị trấn Tam Đường, huyện Tam Đường, tỉnh Lai Châu. Thể lệ giải bao gồm 2 hạng mục: Hạng mục giải quốc gia dành cho các phi công Việt Nam và hạng mục giải chung dành cho các phi công Việt Nam và người nước ngoài. Đây là cơ hội để các phi công dù lượn giao lưu, học hỏi, góp phần thúc đẩy hơn nữa sự phát triển của bộ môn Dù lượn ở Việt Nam và tăng cường hội nhập với các hoạt động thể thao Dù lượn trong khu vực Đông Nam Á và Thế giới. Trong những năm qua, du lịch Lai Châu đã và đang có sự phát triển, từng bước trở thành ngành kinh tế có vị trí quan trọng của tỉnh. Lai Châu với điều kiện địa hình, khí hậu, cảnh quan thiên nhiên hùng vĩ là địa điểm thích hợp để phát triển các sản phẩm du lịch mạo hiểm, trong đó có dù lượn - môn thể thao chinh phục bầu trời. Huyện Tam Đường, tỉnh Lai Châu là địa điểm duy nhất tại Việt Nam đã từng tổ chức các Giải Dù lượn đường trường với quy mô lớn, được Liên đoàn Thể thao hàng không Quốc tế (WASF) công nhận là các giải đấu được xếp hạng Quốc tế...
