Trình diễn bay dù lượn là hoạt động nằm trong khuôn khổ lễ hội mùa thu năm 2018 của huyện Bát xát, Tỉnh LÀo cai. Chương trình được tổ chức bởi UBND huyện Bát Xát và CLB Dù lượn Hà Nội. Chương trình trình diễn bay Dù Lượn được tổ chức trong 2 ngày 18 và 19 tháng 8 năm 2018.

All in all, for our style of flying I think it really suits us better being an "in-between size" especially since we get quite a few days here at the coast which are just a little too strong for full size wings.

Trong khuôn khổ chuỗi các sự kiện chào mừng Tuần Lễ Du Lịch Hạ Long - Quảng Ninh năm 2019, CLB Dù lượn và Dù bay có động cơ Đông Bắc Quảng Ninh trân trọng thông báo:
Lễ hội dù lượn: "BAY TRÊN VÙNG DI SẢN"
do CLB Dù lượn và Dù bay có động cơ Đông Bắc phối hợp cùng UBND huyện Hoành Bồ, tỉnh Quảng Ninh thực hiện sẽ diễn ra vào ngày 15/5/2019 tại xã Sơn Dương, huyện Hoành Bồ, tỉnh Quảng Ninh.
Với mục đích tôn vinh Vùng Di Sản Thiên Nhiên thế giới và các giá trị văn hoá truyền thống. Thông qua việc tổ chức lễ hội dù lượn, CLB Đông Bắc mong muốn góp phần quảng bá, giới thiệu về quê hương, con người, bản sắc văn hoá của các dân tộc huyện Hoành Bồ đến các du khách trong và ngoài nước. Đồng thời mang lại cho du khách trải nghiệm thú vị khi ngắm nhìn Vùng Di Sản Thiên Nhiên hùng vĩ dưới góc nhìn của những chú chim trên bầu trời cao.
Rất hân hạnh được chào đón các phi công toàn quốc đến bay biểu diễn và các du khách từ khắp mọi miền Tổ quốc tới tham gia bay trải nghiệm tại đây.

👉 Toàn cảnh Hành trình Chinh phục THIÊN ĐƯỜNG CỎ LAU ĐỒI BÙ - Khám phá thú chơi DÙ LƯỢN
Núi Đồi Bù cách trung tâm thành phố Hà Nội chừng 40 km. Để tới được đây, từ Hà Nội bạn đi theo QL6 tới Xuân Mai rồi rẽ trái đi theo đường mòn Hồ Chí Minh, sau đó đi qua trường Cộng đồng Hà Tây 5 km tới khu vực Chợ Cá thì rẽ phải ở ngã 4 chợ Cá.
Đồi Bù nằm giáp ranh giữa huyện Chương Mỹ, Hà Nội và huyện Lương Sơn tỉnh Hòa Bình. Đây là dãy núi đẹp với sườn thoải có độ dài khoảng 1.5km. Vào khoảng tháng 9 đến tháng 11, núi Đồi Bù thời tiết mát mẻ, đôi khi se lạnh, cỏ lau dọc sườn đổi bung nở, mang lại 1 khung cảnh đẹp mắt hòa quyện cùng không khí trên núi trong lành.
Tới đây bạn sẽ được thả mình vào thiên nhiên trong lành với những vạt lau bạt ngàn. Lau nở tràn sườn núi tạo ra khung cảnh vừa lãng mạn vừa nên thơ chẳng kém gì thiên đường lau ở Bình Liêu. Nằm trên cao độ 655m với nhiều ưu thế, đồi Bù còn là điểm chơi dù lượn ưa thích của các phi công miền Bắc.
Đồi cỏ lau có độ dài khoảng 1,5km. Điểm cất cánh nằm trên cao độ 655m sở hữu địa hình thoai thoải, phong cảnh đẹp là điểm chơi dù lượn ưa thích của các phi công miền Bắc. Vào mùa gió Bắc thì đồi lau trắng là điểm bay lý tưởng, đã có những chuyến bay cao trên 1500m được thực hiện tại đây.
Thời điểm tốt nhất để chụp ảnh tại đây tốt nhất là vào buổi sáng sớm để có ánh nắng đẹp. Từ xa ngọn đồi trông như một bức tranh với những sắc hồng phớt đẹp đẽ. Với phông nền tự nhiên đẹp như tranh vẽ, lãng mạn giữa mênh mông đất trời, đổi lau mỗi năm đều thu hút nhiều bạn trẻ đến tham quan, chụp hình, ghi lại khoảnh khắc.

I've been wanting to do a sign for the workshop and today was the day.
It didn't quite turn out as I'd like but it was a good experiment and I can always change it in the future.
I made it mostly out of plywood, wood glue, screws and nails. Goes together like a sandwich so I can take it apart in the future.

One of our friends has a Niviuk Icepeak 6 and was kind enough to let me have a go. It is a 2012, 2 liner EN-D Wing so a cross country/competition wing with very high pilot demands, but since it was a nice day at the beach I thought it was ok to try out.
Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of wind to try out the wing properly and I spent the full time I was in the air trying desperately not to land.
Most apparent things are how heavy and reinforced the leading edge is, the span-wise movement and how much the wing "talks" in flight.
All in all I really wish I could fly it some more :)
