XENON (EN D): +400 TEST FLIGHTS (till now, 2/2021)
The competition at the Red Bull X-Alps 2021 will be really tough. So, we want our EN-D 2-liner XENON to be really good. Athlete Theo De Blic and test pilots Toni Bender and Fabian Gasteiger did more than 400 test flights on several prototypes. Result: they are very optimistic!

Die Konkurrenz bei den Red Bull X-Alps 2021 wird sehr hart sein. Deshalb tun wir alles, damit unser EN-D 2-Liner XENON richtig gut wird. Athlet @Theo De Blic sowie die Testpiloten @Toni Bender und @Fabian Gasteiger haben absolvierten über 400 Testflüge mit den diversen Prototypen. Ergebnis: Sie sind sehr optimistisch!

At the end of 2019, Théo de Blic announced that he would split from his previous partner Gradient. Since then, the paragliding community has been speculating where the three-time Acro Paragliding World Cup Champion (2015 – synchro, 2017 & 2019) and three-time Acro Game Champion would move. Now, he has let the cat out of the bag - from now on Théo de Blic will team up with NOVA.

With the SECTOR, we are introducing a new XC wing to the sports class. We have transferred the successful MENTOR concept to the EN/LTF C class and have coupled this with sports class handling.

The result: in comparison to other gliders in its class, a low aspect ratio (5.92), a very high degree of actually usable performance combined with precise handling and short brake travel. A wing to munch the XC miles.

Mit dem SECTOR stellen wir unseren neuen XC-Schirm in der Sportklasse vor. Dabei übertragen wir das erfolgreiche MENTOR-Konzept in die EN/LTF C Kategorie und paaren es mit einem feinen Sportklasse-Handling.

Das heißt konkret: im Klassenvergleich niedrige Streckung (5,92) bei sehr hoher real erfliegbarer Leistung, kombiniert mit einem präzisen Handling und kurzen Steuerwegen. Ein Schirm zum Kilometerfressen.

Eike Köhler ist ein junger, ambitionierter Regisseur und Kameramann aus Flensburg. Zum Abschluss seines Studiums der Medieninformatik drehte er im praktischen Teil seiner Bachelor-Arbeit mit dem Thema „Branded Content Dokumentarfilme für den Outdoormarkt“ ein feinfühliges Videoporträt des Anästhesisten und NOVA-Team Piloten Ingmar Lautenschläger.

Ingmar Lautenschläger lebt in Kiel, ist 39 Jahre alt, glücklicher Familienvater und begeisterter Streckenflieger im Norddeutschen Flachland. Er möchte mit seinem Gleitschirm so weit wie möglich und vor allem sicher fliegen.

Höchstes Sicherheitsbewusstsein und Aufmerksamkeit sind für Lautenschläger auch beruflich von elementarer Bedeutung: Er ist Anästhesist. Gegenüber den Patienten trägt er die maximale Verantwortung: Er bringt sie sicher durch Operationen, ohne Schmerzen und ohne, dass sie davon etwas mitbekommen. Sie sollen sich gut aufgehoben fühlen. Genau wie beim Fliegen ist Vorbereitung hier das A & 0. So geht er zunächst seine Checkliste durch, bevor er im „Cockpit“ sitzt, um Geräte zu bedienen und Medikamente zu geben.

Nachwuchs-Filmemacher Eike Köhler drehte ein feinfühliges Porträt von Ingmar Lautenschläger. Köhler ist auch ein begeisterter Outdoor-Sportler. Er ist leidenschaftlicher und durchaus extremer Seekajakfahrer. Zur Gleitschirmfliegerei hatte er vor dem Film keinen Kontakt. Dennoch entstand ein toller Film – mit ungewöhnlichen Kameraeinstellungen, eindrucksvollen Aufnahmen und viel persönlicher Nähe.

The MENTOR 6 Light is the lightweight version of the MENTOR 6, a three-liner EN B-paraglider with 59 cells and a flat aspect ratio 5.43.

It can be packed significantly smaller and weighs much less than the standard version (4.2 kg in comparison to 5.05 kg in size S). Nevertheless, the Light is perfect for everyday use (normal risers, all lines, except the gallery lines, are sheathed) and it comes with NOVA's full warranty package.
