I've made some tool handle blanks using epoxy and other materials.
I only had time to finish the wooden one but it came out really nice.
I broke the wood in half so that it would have shards and pointy bits, then built a case around it and poured the epoxy in.
For the other blanks I used sawdust, screw heads, electrical wires and thermochromic pigment, which changes colour when it goes above a certain temperature. I will look into those in a future video :)

When I came up with the Groundhandling challenge the original idea was always to make it a challenge as a whole rather than just a collection of disjointed exercises.

So in this video I've taken the challenge myself to complete all the A level exercises in one go. It was very windy and super turbulent. Luckily I used the 14m2 BGD Seed otherwise there was no chance of doing this.

In the end it was a full on workout and really challenging, which is interesting given that the exercises themselves are very very simple. I completed all 4 in around 27minutes and 30 seconds. I'm sure I can do better next time.

We got out to Mam Tor in the Peaks to get some flying in but the weather was typically British :)
A little bit dull, threatening with rain and a gentle breeze, so instead of half an hour of regular flying I tried to do some wingover training as well as top landing as these days where there isn't much thermal turbulence are perfect for that.

Gemma took to the skies at the Derbyshire and Lancashire Gliding Club on a beautiful Autumn afternoon. The sky was booming and thermals were abundant.
40 minutes later she touched down and found out that although the views were amazing, her stomach wasn't too happy and that the controls were a lot more sensitive than what she anticipated.
More practice needed!
