Restoring a Vintage Manual Sewing Machine Day 22 - 30 Day Youtube Challenge - BANDARRA
I love these old Singer manual sewing machines. I have one from the 1930's but thing this one is from the 50's.
Bought it cheap and in need of love. Straightened some of the metalwork. sanded the whole wooden body and cover.
Also cleaned and oiled pretty much every joint and bearing in the thing. That was the most fun part, taking it all apart and seeing how it works. Also quite nice feeling it progressively loosen up more and more as it was quite stiff to operate at the beginning.
Also this one was missing a key so I made one out of a piece of metal I had laying around using a hacksaw and a file.
I love doing this stuff :)
